Chase Jeter, Puckett & Ohtani in October Royalty Packs

The 122nd edition of the Fall Classic is about to begin, pitting the National League’s Milwaukee Brewers and their 103 regular season wins against the Tampa Bay Rays. Neither team has ever won a World Series, adding plenty of intrigue to a matchup between two small market teams loaded with talent.

Those rooting for the Brew Crew will undoubtedly tout the team’s ace: Jacob Misiorowski. With a WAR of 6.6, The Miz stands tall at 6’7”, and has torn through the Majors in just his second year in the league. Meanwhile, the Rays are led by slugger Junior Caminero. The 23-year-old hit 42 long balls this season, and is in the running for AL MVP. Needless to say, this World Series should be fun to watch.

To celebrate the finale of the 2026 MLB season, Courtyard is debuting October Royalty packs. Available now for $89, these packs not only tout today’s greats, but legends from bygone eras of baseball, too.

While the Los Angeles Dodgers’ dynasty might have been momentarily thwarted by the Brewers, baseball has seen plenty of teams control the diamond over the years, like the Oakland As and Cincinnati Reds in the ‘70s or the New York Yankees in the ‘90s. Courtyard’s October Royalty event connects baseball fans to the players that dominated baseball’s past—while giving a strong nod to the players of the present, too.

Better yet, the October Royalty pack is a real curveball. This spicy pack gives baseball collectors the opportunity to chase much higher ceilings, with rare cards from yesteryear, like a Derek Jeter rookie card—and, for those that believe no one is better than Shohei Ohtani (or ever will be)—as well as cardboard from the modern game. It’s October, after all, and we’re ready to top 100mph with our fastball!

Rare Cards from Mike Schmidt, Kirby Puckett, Derek Jeter, and Shohei Ohtani

All four of the chase cards found within Courtyard’s October Royalty pack have at least one World Series ring to call their own.

975 Topps #70 Mike Schmidt (PSA 9 MINT)

A 3x NL MVP and 10x Gold Glove winner, Schmidt was the 1980 World Series MVP, hitting .381 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to power the Philadelphia Phillies to their first-ever MLB title. The PSA 9 grade is just as impressive as Schmidt’s stats, given the difficulty finding high-grade versions of this card thanks to card stock and centering issues.

1985 Topps #536 Kirby Puckett Rookie (PSA 10 GEM MINT)

A two-time champion (1987 and 1991), Puckett made a leaping catch at the center field wall in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, then forced Game 7 in the 11th-inning with a walk-off home run. A PSA 10 of his Topps rookie card would be the centerpiece of any Minnesota Twins fan’s collection.

1993 SP #279 Derek Jeter Foil Rookie (BGS 9 MINT)

The Captain. Five rings, a 2000 World Series MVP, and 158 career postseason games. His 1993 SP foil rookie card is known for edge and surface chipping, which makes the BGS 9 in Courtyard’s October Royalty pack that much more of a grail.

2024 Topps Home Field Advantage #HFA29 Shohei Ohtani (PSA 9 MINT)

The biggest star in (modern) baseball has been compared to Babe Ruth. While the big budget Dodgers were bounced from this year’s MLB Postseason in the NLCS, Ohtani still reigns supreme—and this Home Field Advantage insert is a short-print case hit illustrated with Los Angeles iconography.
